(b) KIP participants should be in the age group of 18 to 30 years.

(c) The government of India will pay 90% of the amount of the air tickets and take care of Boarding, lodging, internal travel and all hospitality for their stay in India for 25 days.  KIP participant pays 10% of total airfare only.

(d) Minimum qualification – must be at least an undergraduate student


(e) All four KIP groups will participate in the youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas on 7 January 2017 in Bengaluru and the inauguration  of 14th PBD Convention on 8 January 2017 - where PM and select Chief Ministers will participate and address delegates. Therefore, Bengaluru has been included in the 25 day itinerary of the KIP groups.


(f)  In the Application Form, the applicant should indicate his preference for each KIP, in the order or priority. Ministry will attempt to allot the first preference of each applicant to the extent possible. If there are too many applicants for a specific KIP, the allotment of candidates will be on first-come-first serve basis and subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.

(g)  Personal Interactive session of the candidates will be conducted for selection of the candidates. Detail of screening test and other information can be seen from High Commission of India website

(h) The last date for submission of application is 25th of October. Applications are to be sent to Social Secretary  copying to Second Secretary (Hindi & Culture) at

(i) Application Form for the KIPs in person can also be obtained from Social Secretary High Commission of India, LICI House, Level 7, Butt Street, Suva, Tel: 3301125/Fax: 3301032.


(j)  Completed applications in the prescribed Performa, in duplicate, along with a passport size photograph should be received in the High Commission of India by post or in person as per dates mentioned.  Incomplete application forms will summarily be rejected.   The envelope containing the application form should be subscribed  “ Know India Programmes 2016-2017 .”
