Handing Over of Hindi Text Books to Ministry of Education

11 titles of over 1800 Hindi Text books were handed over by the High Commission of India, Suva to the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts, Government of Fiji at a handing over ceremony organized on Friday 8 January 2021 at Level 6, LICI Building, Butt Street, Suva.

Dr Angeela Jokhan, Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Education Heritage & Arts, Government of the Republic of Fiji received the text books on behalf of the Government which were handed over by the Acting High Commissioner to Fiji Mr. S. C. Sahoo.

These Hindi text books have been arranged by the High Commission of India in Suva with the help of Hindi Division of the Ministry of External Affairs free of charge on a request received from the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) of Ministry of Education, Government of Fiji.

High Commission of India in Suva has always been in the forefront to assist the Government and the people of Fiji as a committed Development Partner and arranging these Hindi Text Books free of charge is an example of another friendly gesture to strengthen & promote the ambitious Hindi teaching program of the Government of Fiji and to foster the traditionally robust bilateral relations between the two countries.

Officers and staff of High Commission of India, Suva and the Ministry of Education, Government of Fiji were present during the ceremony.
