On 31 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was honoured to meet Momo Levu na Tui Sabeto, Paramount Chief Ratu Viliame Mataitoga.


On 30 January 2026, High Commission of India Suva and SVCC organised an ICCR Alumni Meet at the Fiji Girmit Centre, Lautoka. Hon. Sashi Kiran, Fijian Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.


On 30 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta and Pt Bhuvan Dutt, Pro Chancellor of University of Fiji jointly inaugurated the Bharat Corner.


On 29 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was pleased to meet with Dr. Paresh Pant, CEO of Tourism Fiji, in Nadi. 


On 28 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was honored to meet the Minister for Public Enterprises & Health of Kingdom of Tonga, Hon. Siaosi Sovaleni and his delegation in Suva, underscoring strong India-Tonga bilateral ties. 


On 27 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta met with a delegation from CII India visiting Fiji to explore opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation, with a focus on development of SMEs.


On 28 January 2026, High Commissioner met with Mr. Marika Baleca from Fijian Ministry of Land and Mineral Resources, as he undertakes the ITEC course on Electric Vehicles, Batteries and Charging Stations at the NTPC School of Business, Noida in Feb 2026. 


On 27 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta chaired the 2nd meeting of the Project Steering Committee to review the Quick Impact Project (QIP)- “Tubalevu Ground Water Supply Project,” being supported by Government of India.


On 21 January 2026, High Commissioner met with 2 ITEC participants from Fijian Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection traveling to India for 2-weeks course.


On 19 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta engaged with Diaspora leaders in a productive dialogue on deepening cooperation and advancing India’s soft power outreach.


On 19 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development, Hon. Esrom Immanuel.


On 15 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta attended the Indian Film Festival Launch at the Life Cinema in Nakasi with Fijian Minister of Women, Children and Social Protection Sashi Kiran joining as Chief Guest.


On 14 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta met the Chennai Bulls 7s rugby team, led by Coach Ben Gollings, in Sigatoka, ahead of the Coral Coast 7s. 


On 12 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was pleased to meet with four Pacific journalists selected to participate in a Media Familiarization visit to India in January 2026, organized by MEA India. 


On 13 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was honored to welcome Fiji’s Minister for Youth & Sports, Hon. Jese Saukuru and also pleased to meet the 7-member Fijian youth delegation traveling to India under the Youth Exchange Programme 2026.


On 10 January 2026, On the occasion of World Hindi Day, a Hindi poetry symposium was organized at the High Commission of India and Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Suva. The event was graced by the Chief Guest was The Honorable Mr. Agni Deo Singh, Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Government of the Republic of Fiji.


On 09 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta met the Fijian priests who completed Purohit Training course at Banaras Hindu University under the ITEC Programme.


On 08 January 2026, HC Suneet Mehta met with 2 participants from Fiji who were traveling to India under ITEC Programme; Ms. Zahina Maqbool (Fijian Ministry of Defence & Veteran Affairs) & Mr. William Pawa (Office of the Prime Minister).


On 07 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta met the five young Fijians going to India for the 86th Know India Programme ahead of their 3-week cultural immersion across India.


On 07 January 2026, High Commissioner Suneet Mehta was honored to meet the Speaker of the House of Assembly of Kiribati, Hon. Willie Tokataake, and his delegation today, underscoring strong bilateral cooperation.  


On 06 January 2025, HC Suneet Mehta farewelled 2 ITEC Participants from Fiji who were selected for the course "Towards Social Protection and Workplace Safety in the Future of Work" to be held at V. V. Giri National Labour Institute, Noida.


On 04 January 2026, HC met with Mr. Bishal Chand of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fiji and congratulated him for being selected for the ITEC Course on Tactical Driving (Iteration II) to be held on 05–31 January 2026 at the National Security Guard, New Delhi.
